This is the heart of the AC system — it compresses refrigerant gas and circulates it through the condenser and evaporator. When replacing, always evacuate and recharge the AC system with the correct amount of R134a refrigerant and PAG oil. Inspect the clutch pulley and magnetic coupling before installation. Recommend replacing the receiver-drier and performing a system flush if the old compressor failed internally.
